Long long day with my MDIS mates..

I reached home around 4am yesterday!
Gee.. I can’t remember when was the last time I reached home that late. I’m not the sort of girl who refuses to go home and wants to stay out as late as possible.. Most of the time I’d prefer to be home by midnight.

And I also can’t remember when was the last time I had a day that felt this long!!!

In summary:

I woke up at 11, changed and took a cab down to Plaza Singapura where I met Alex and Prashanth for lunch at Manhattan Fish Market at about 1 plus,

After lunch we walked to Parklane where Chloe and Sherman joined us to play L4D at about 3,

We played L4d till about 4:30 and finally walked to YMCA and took a bus back to Queenstown MRT, and from Queenstown MRT we took the shuttle bus back to MDIS.

We bought drinks and reached class at about 5, (class started at 3:30 and supposedly ends 6:30) and we tolerated Hawabi’s lecture all the way until almost 7.

After school, me and Gwen and Alcan and Prashanth shared a cab to town.

We walked over to Taka to wait for Chloe’s performance, where the rest of them + my bf met up with us and by the time Chloe’s performance was over, it was already 9 plus and we walked to Lucky Plaza because I managed to convince everyone to eat my fav indian food.

I stuffed myself silly with amazing indian food until 10 plus, then we walked to Cineleisure and bought tickets for Angels and Demons.

We accompanied Chloe & Nicholas to eat again, until 11 plus.

After everyone has eaten, we went to level 9 to play Left 4 Dead, AGAIN.

Finally, at 1+, we went for our movie and I took a cab back home at 3+am.

.
.
.
.

HAHAHAHA yea.. that was pretty much my day.

Chloe fell asleep during the movie xD

I thought the movie was rather interesting though… loved the unexpected twist at the end.

I’d rate Angels and Demons 3.5/5!

Ok since I’ve already went through what I did that day… here are the pictures :P

Me and Gwen waiting for our darling’s performance!

Gweennnnnnnnn and me

Loverboy and myself (“v”)
Sweet of him to join me and my friends nowadays.. I’m so relieved he gets on well with my friends!!

He’ll love them as much as I do~

HAHAHA Gwen thought he was kinda cute.. he is cute but just wait till you get to know him better!!! My little annoying one.

Our starlet before her performance!

You did greattttttttttttttt. Sexy dance.. *makes sizzling sound*

The girls who came down to support Chloe~

(some) of The Guys!

After Chloe’s performance, my bf and Nicholas ran up to Chloe to “Get her Autograph”

HAHAHAHAHAHA omg! Damn dramatic and funny. My bf’s idea btw!!!!

By that time we were all starvinggggg, and off we went to Lucky Plaza to my fav indian food place ^.^

Luck was with me, we arrived just in time cos the last order was 9:20!

Adam!

Muahaha he loves indian food too, and he’s going to take me to Wendy’s soon, YAY!!!
My gang of indian food khakis is growing! I’ve managed to influence Chloe and Gwen to like indian food too…

The only problem is that my own boyfriend doesn’t like indian food! :(

Gwen, me, Angelie and Bryan!

They loved it too DUHHHHHHH.. how can anyone not like such delicious food? *smacks James*

Fastforward..

This is the part where we were waiting for Chloe and Nicholas to finish their dinner at Shokudo or something

Starlet and me

And finally, a(n incomplete) group piccy!

After that we went to play L4D..
I have the real L4D in my lappy now!
But it always overheats when playing L4D.. I know a laptop isn’t meant for playing games la.

So after each game I take a break HAHAHAHAH.

It’s not quite as fun when you play with your friends in a LAN shop! The feeling is just different.

Anyhoo, bye now!

Presentation and L4D!

Been busy with school as usual..

Yay for the 1 week holiday next week!

It’s not exactly a holiday per se, supposedly a study week for my upcoming exams, but I don’t have to go to school!!! Yipee.

I love my school and my classmates, don’t get me wrong, but I am so tired from doing projects or presentations and stuff.

Speaking of presentation, we had our class presentation yesterday!

HAHAHAH that’s me speaking to the class. In my most unflattering angle ever.

And that’s my powerpoint slide behind me~

My group’s topic was Fashion and I was covering Impulsive Shopping!!!

I liked the topic I came up with because it’s something I can relate to.. So I thought it was relatively easy to talk about, despite me having cold feet before the presentation.

Once I got up there I felt less nervous immediately, cos when I looked into the crowd I realized that most of these people are my friends.. so what’s there to be shy about?

We had to wear “formal” and it was nice seeing everyone all dressed up for a change.

Katie and Allison looking very pretty, and Andreas and Alcan looking real smart!!!

Adam looking good with his tie.. Too bad Nicholas doesn’t know how to tie a tie. LOL

I reckon every Monday should be dress-up day… I like seeing everyone looking so nice!!

The only downside is that the guys would probably melt in their long-sleeved shirts.. the weather is sooo intolerable in the afternoon.

Me and Gwen!

Love love :D

.

.

.

.

We headed back to class and I started snapping away more once everyone has settled down..

SHERMAN THE ROCKER and Alex the “geek”!

I believe this will be the first and the last time I’d ever see Sherman NOT wearing his rocker tees xD

Hahahaha omg look at his hair so cuteeeeeeeeee

Take a look at the difference… this is them being themselves on a normal day :P

Prasad and San Jay!

They look so matching and cute together, LOL.

Hehehehe

The most well-dressed of the day was MAXIMUS, hands-down man!!! We all started clapping and went “OMG” when he walked into school

“I feel so proud of him, like a mother” – Fiona

Ayyyyy they all look so cute when they dress up, especially Max~

We helped him cover up his “kuang ye” tattoo with aLOT of concealer and foundation..

Maximus on a normal day :)

On the day we skipped school to play L4D, LOL.

Random:

HAHAHA all of us skipped the workshop to play L4D (and some Counter Strike)

Adore my class~

Back to the presentation…

I was so anxious to start the presentation, the sooner it’s over the better for me but it took SO LONG for the projector or whatever to start!! Wtf.

So we were stuck, it wasn’t until after 1 hour plus did the problem get fixed… by then everyone was pretty much very restless already.

I tried to memorize my points and kept repeating them to Gwen and Nat HAHAHA, Gwen took a video of me trying to do my speech but I look and sound superrr retarded so I’m not going to post it up.

Highlighting important points for my speech... I love this picture!!!!

Love my hair, love my pearls, love my blazer, love the fact I look like I’m actually studying LOL.

Picture taking during the presentation wtf!

We were that bored.. We didn’t mean to be bad audience, but the presentation started late and a lot of people were mumbling and stumbling throughout and there were SIXTY people presenting… so yea.

(“v”)

I adore my outfit! Professional-looking but stylish enough.. Nevermind that my dress was short :P

I wore a high-waist shift black and purple tiered dress inside my blazer. Was sponsored, but only sells for $27 in the blogshop.. Don’t cha just love cheap thrills?

At one point of my presentation, I mentioned that one way to prevent yourself from shopping impulsively is to source around for cheaper alternatives.

I asked my class how much they thought I bought my blazer for, and one guy said, “$500!”

I dunno whether he was kidding or not but I think he was for real! I told him, “Ooh, I’m flattered.. but I bought this blazer for only $29.”

LOL.

I also came up with this quote, “You don’t have to spend a million bucks to FEEL like a million bucks.”

HAHAHAHAHHA genius ain’t I.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

After foreverrrrrrrrr, the presentation finally ended..

Seah wanted a picture with the ladies! xD

All dark when we walked out of school -___-”

Anyway, the rest of them went to Far East for Thai food but Gwen just had Thai food recently so we went to have INDIAN FOOD AT MY FAV PLACE – LUCKY PLAZA!!

OMGOMGOMGOMG *spasm*

Absolutely DELISH. *salivates*

My usual waiter recognized me and he’s always happy to see me cos I always introduce different friends to his eatery :P

We ordered Butter Chicken and Mutton Curry and Butter Nan and he told me to give him feedback on the food cos they were trying out new recipes!

The butter chicken was THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD. Much much better than their previous butter chicken and their mutton curry was just as good.

Another plus point is that the new mutton curry didn’t make me fart a lot. LOL. The previous recipes did.

I was soooooooooooo delighted… Gwen was like, “since you like it so much, tell them you do advertorial for them lor, and they shall sponsor you mutton curry and your fav indian food”

OMG hahahaha.

That would be the best sponsor ever.

After a very satisfying meal of indian food (altho I wish I could have had more), Chloe went off to Butter Factory and Me and Gwen went to play L4D!!

Gwen mentioned something funny.. She said that the LAN shop people would take a look at me and my outfit and go like, “Walao this lady after work come here kill zombies?”

LOL

I officially proclaim myself a Left 4 Dead addict. I think I’m getting better and I’m good for a new player lor!

I’m not usually a fan of such games but L4D is very easy to play and it’s really fun when you play with friends :)

I wouldn’t play it alone though…

…SHIOK!!!

Looking at this picture just makes me wanna blast zombies really badly!

Hahaha I like to startle the witch… I like the thrill of trying to shoot her to death ASAP and trying to escape. *sounds like a L4D psycho*

Yipeeeee we’re going to play L4D tomorrow. Can’t wait~

Me and Chloe in school today :)

The 2 of us and Gwen decided to wear maxi dresses to school together today but Chloe didn’t wear it in the end!!! Boo.

First time wearing this maxi dress out after buying it for some time…

Lovely prints!

I LOVE IT. Received a lot of compliments for it too *happy*

It’s very flowy and extremely comfortable… heart all that printed fabric and chiffon material.

I think I’ll be wearing another maxi dress to school tomorrow~

Gwen and I in our maxis~ Too bad we didn’t get a full length picture together!!

My girlies..

I think today’s the last lesson we have with Mr Siew!!! :’(

Different modules will be starting soon.. that sucks. I LOVE Mr Siew’s lessons, he’s very nice and cute and funny. Plus he gives the best exam tips.

Sigh. I hope I don’t kena some crappy lecturer.

Okkkk that’s all for today.. So so sleepy. I am always tired nowadays.

Which is a good thing cos I feel like I’m living life to the fullest, no more rotting around.

Last Hawabi lecture tomorrow, then holidays! ^.^

Hope we get our marks for our presentation.

P.S – I just remembered this..

While me and Gwen were walking towards Meridien to play L4D, there was a guy who suddenly appeared in front of me and to my horror I saw STEVEN LIM in my face trying to get me to join his talent agency!!!

I walked away immediately and he was mumbling to himself..

To be honest, I was really neutral towards him and felt kinda bad for him, all until I saw the vomit-inducing “STOP BULLYING MY EDISON CHEN VIDEO”. Walao. That was the last straw.

When will he stop harassing people along Orchard Road?!?!

First eyebrow plucking, now this!

HTC Touch Cruise Advertorial

I’m one of those girls guilty of being a fan of bimbo phones.

A bimbo phone is basically a phone that looks really pretty on the outside, but doesn’t do much for you at all with limited functions... much like a real bimbo.

So when Nuffnang & HTC presented me with a HTC Touch Cruise to do a review on, I was very much (pleasantly) surprised.

HTC Touch Cruise isn’t just any bimbo phone.

The HTC Touch Cruise is a SMART phone.

Yeah as in they’re really called Smartphones because they have soo much intelligence and data packed in them…

As I turned on my new phone… I was immediately in awe. Like srsly.

This thing runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional!!

I dunno about you, but I’ve never seen a phone that was so much like a computer.. It’s like my very own Pocket PC.

.

.
.
.
.
.

Intrigued, I played around with the phone and here are some of the features of the HTC Touch Cruise that I liked:

Sleek Exterior

Yes, appearance matters a lot to me.

To be honest, what came to mind when I thought of Smartphone is “ugly, heavy and bulky” for appearance and “confusing / unnecessarily geeky” for the functions.

Little did I know how wrong I was.

The first thing that struck me about the HTC Touch Cruise was how extremely light it is, considering the fact most Smartphones are quite heavy.. (I think)

Different sides and views of the phone

The HTC Touch Cruise is only 103 grams with battery, and 102(L) X 53.5(W) X 14.5(T) mm in size!

James was with me when I first used the phone, and he kept complimenting on how sleek it looks.
(also hinting to me that his phone was old and outdated and that his bday was “coming soon”… heh)

If you’ve heard of the HTC Touch Cruise before, this is actually a newer version that was just released in 2009

It is obviously much sleeker as compared to the version from 2007 – improvements have been made to the phone as well.

.

.
.
.
.

Navigating Around

I’m not a fan of touch screen phones, but navigating around the HTC Touch Cruise was actually pretty easy after awhile.. thank god it comes with a stylus that fits snugly at the side of your phone when you’re not using it.

I don’t like having to poke my phone with my finger tips. I hate having to use the tips of my fingers to poke the virtual keypads and having so many typos cos my fingers are so fat.. LOL.

Like I said, I have always been using bimbo phones but doing tasks with the HTC Touch Cruise was surprisingly easy even for a first-time user, I heard it was heavily modified to be more user-friendly. Good for people like me who aren’t that tech-savvy.

It’s almost like using your computer anyway! Windows, hello?

I know this is the main concern with people about smartphones… “Is it too hard to use? Does it lag with so much functions available?”

My answer: Nope!

.
.
.
.
.
.

HTC Footprints & GPS

“HTC Footprints” – This spiffy new technology lets you tag the images taken via the device with the current GPS coordinates so you can find this place easily in the future!

I can then add a note or even a voice note to remind myself why this location is significant… This function is both fun and useful.

I can imagine myself using the HTC Footprints in many ways, such as taking a photo of my school and tagging it because my mum always gets lost when she drives me to school!!

Or how about using HTC Footprints to tag that unfamiliar restaurant your friend brought you to which had surprisingly amazing food?

I hate not being able to remember how to get to places! Now my problem’s fixed.

The HTC Touch Cruise has GPS maps enabled by PapaGo, how convenient is having your phone give you turn-by-turn directions?

Talk about high-tech!! *suddenly feels shy about her bimbo phones*

This will definitely come in handy.. I used to get lost in Orchard Road. I’m not kidding.

.
.
.
.
.
.

Internet

*HURRAH*

Bloggers, twitters, facebook-ers, I hear ya!!!!

Wi-Fi enabled, Internet connectivity at broadband speeds. They even have Messenger Live!!

I’d never have to be bored while I’m waiting for that friend who is always late, and even better – I wouldn’t have to bring my laptop out!

I brought my laptop to school yesterday for my project and OMG it was so heavy and bulky and horrendous and yeah even though a laptop is meant for you to carry it around, I don’t think my lappy is going anywhere anytime soon.

Especially now since I have my 103 grams HTC Touch Cruise that comes with GPS and Internet and all sorts of other snazzy functions. *flips hair*

.
.
.
.
.
.
.

In Car Holder & Charger

The HTC Touch Cruise can be charged by connecting to the cigarette lighter outlet in your car, and the holder lets you attach the handheld to a car’s windshield for optimal viewing when driving.

I know this is so random but I love how I can charge my phone in my mum’s car!!

You have no idea how many times I’ve left my house only to find out that my battery was dying on me!

What was I to do, head back home to charge my battery and be impossibly late or go out completely uncontactable?

With this function, I can quit worrying about my phone draining its battery too fast, I can charge it on my way out..

I wouldn’t want my battery to die on me while using the GPS to find my way around, then I would be really lost.

.
.
.
.
.
.

Yup, so these are the functions that I like the most about this phone!

Like I said, I’m not the most tech-savvy blogger around to give the best review but the fact that I’m a user of bimbo phones and that I still find this phone nice enough and useful is saying something.

It shows that the HTC Touch Cruise isn’t just meant for businessmen or men in general - women and teenage girls alike will love it too.

Come on, I know many women get lost while driving.. :P

*cough*GPS*cough*

Oh yea, for those who are wondering about the camera…

It’s 3.2 megapixels :)

It’s relatively clear!

I’d say the GPS makes up for it.. You can’t have everything in one phone, especially since the HTC Touch Cruise is so light and sleek and still packed with intelligence.

*cough*eyefoneonly2megapixels*cough*

Now, my impression of Smartphones have kinda changed… I enjoy using both bimbo phones and smart phones :P

The HTC Touch Cruise retails for about $858.
